About the Foundry
Morgan MacDonald is an acclaimed sculptor and the owner of the Newfoundland Bronze Foundry, the largest commercial bronze art foundry and production facility on the east coast of Canada. Located near St. John’s, Newfoundland, the foundry is fully equipped to handle a wide range of fine art bronze projects, specializing in consultation, fabrication, creation, installation, site development, and casting of bronze sculptural artwork.
With extensive experience in fabricating special projects and public art, the foundry has become known for its exceptional craftsmanship in bronze sculpture, welding, and other creative endeavors. The foundry’s dedication to quality and artistic excellence has made it a central hub for artists and public art commissions throughout the region.
The foundry’s public art commissions have garnered significant recognition and respect. Among its notable works are the RCMP Memorial in Moncton, a tribute to the sacrifices of law enforcement officers; "100 Portraits of The Great War," an evocative series commemorating the soldiers of World War I; the Elliston Sealers Memorial, which honors the lives lost in the sealing industry; and several statues of Canadian soldiers for community war memorials in Conception Bay South and the City of Corner Brook.
